PriceMDs helps self-insured employers save on healthcare costs through bundled pricing for surgeries and treatments. Their NearCare™ and cost management solutions integrate with existing plans to improve access and reduce expenses without disrupting current insurance relationships. 

Business Goals

PriceMDs set out to build a custom CRM platform that could support their growing operations and align with the unique needs of their internal teams. Their vision was to create a flexible, scalable system that would streamline project management, enhance communication, and improve operational efficiency across departments—from client services and care coordination to nursing and accounting. 

With the initial version of the CRM already in development, PriceMDs sought a technology partner who could continue the work with a clear understanding of their business objectives. Their priority was to ensure the platform could adapt to evolving requirements while staying on track in terms of both timeline and budget. They aimed to create a reliable, user-friendly solution that would drive better coordination, visibility, and long-term value across the organization. 

 

Business Challenge

SOLTECH joined the project midstream to support the continued development of PriceMDs’ custom CRM platform. Our first step was to assess the current state of the application, validate the existing codebase, and align the build with the evolving business needs. Adding to the complexity, PriceMDs had multiple stakeholder teams, each with distinct workflows and priorities. While the teams shared a common vision, the broad scope of functionality required a solution that was both flexible and scalable. 

The project required aligning a partially built system with diverse stakeholder needs and a wide-ranging set of business requirements.

SOLTECH approached the engagement with a collaborative, consultative mindset. The effort began with a technical assessment and transition phase to verify code completeness and evaluate deployment processes. Following this, close collaboration with PriceMDs helped to clarify needs, identify technical gaps, and align feature priorities with both immediate business goals and long-term scalability.  

The core solution was a custom PHP-based CRM designed to streamline cross-departmental workflows. It featured tailored user roles and permissions, integrated task management for improved coordination, and billing and reporting modules aligned with PriceMDs’ operations. Built with scalability in mind, the architecture supports both current needs and future growth. 

The result was a CRM platform tailored to PriceMDs’ unique needs: supporting multiple internal teams, improving operational efficiency, and setting the stage for continued technology initiatives, including their upcoming Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation.
