Client

The East Bay Center for the Performing Arts is a tax-exempt organization based in California. Their primary focus is to, through performing arts, give children and young adults the tools to deal with the rigors of everyday life.

Business Challenge

East Bay Center for the Performing Arts was seeking help implementing improvements on their website. Specifically, they wanted to add additional functionality to their online donations system to gather more information from donors and improve the security of the site. A key differentiator of this case was getting the functionality developed promptly while still adhering to the budget East Bay Center for the Performing Arts had set.

Solution

We utilized Dot Net Nuke, an open-source content management platform, to install and implement a module that would support both the heightened security and data tracking that East Bay Center for the Performing Arts required with this solution. The module was deployed in a way that would allow future changes to be made by East Bay Center without the need for outside IT assistance. The project was on time and on budget, which was very important to the client, as previous IT vendors were unable to meet these requirements.

Impact

East Bay Center for the Performing Arts was delighted with the functionality that the new website offers them. With the new site, the staff at East Bay Center feel they have a higher level of prestige and integrity, putting them on par with much larger NPOs. They believe the change will cause more visitors to use the “Donate Online” feature, bringing in more funds and allowing them to collect detailed information about donors.
