Timelines for Starting Your Software Project
When you are ready to move forward with your software project, time may be a critical factor. Our goal is to help you be successful and to start your project as quickly as you need us to.
Although our ability to begin depends on having the right kind of resources available, and our resourcing changes on a daily basis, we generally can start your project phase in the following timeframe:
- A new software discovery and design project: 1-2 weeks
- A new software implementation project: 2-3 weeks
- A new support project: 1-2 weeks
Process For Starting Your Software Project
To get started, we will provide you a Service Agreement (contract) and Work Order. The Service Agreement details our working relationship and covers things like:
- Code ownership
- Intellectual property
- Payment terms
We like to break work up into phases. The Work Order details the specific work we will be doing for this phase of the project, and the anticipated number of hours and cost for the effort. We don’t ever want there to be any surprises for you.
Once we receive both signed agreements, we allocate our best available resources to your project and schedule our kick-off meeting together. That’s all there is to it!
We want to help every software project begin on solid ground. In The 5 Pillars Of A Successful Software Project, we share the five essential ingredients of every software project.
