About Steve
Steve’s story is an impressive one. Before becoming the CIO for Yancey Bros, the Caterpillar dealership for the state of Georgia, he started his career working as a consultant and was placed at Georgia-Pacific Corporation as a software developer. After being promoted several times within 12 years, including moving to corporate roles, Steve held the responsibility for the company’s Technology Planning Process and ultimately, as Georgia Pacific’s Chief Technologist.
During his time at Georgia-Pacific, Steve was exposed to many diverse groups, roles and business units. This helped him utilize one of his distinctive strengths, which is using technology to solve core business problems.
