SOLTECH Spotlight: Lindsey Schulz, Staffing Specialist

Lindsey is one of our most cheerful faces around the office. That’s probably why she’s so good at finding cool, talented folks to join the SOLTECH team! Besides being a people-person, she’s also the well-known dog lady, blowing up Slack with pictures of Paisley, her Pomeranian pup. She’s a graduate of  Auburn University and considers her need to regularly try new restaurants a hobby.

What is the best quality a person can have?

Kindness – I think if you have every other great quality but you are not kind, then it means nothing.

What is something about you that people might be surprised to learn?

I used to teach skim and surf lessons in Florida when I was in High School. I grew up living in Florida over the summer so my sister and I worked at a skim and surf rental on the beach. They were just baby waves since we were only in Florida though, so I am definitely not a pro!

What is your favorite thing about working at SOLTECH?

Culture – I came from an opposite environment at my last job so it’s so rewarding to actually look forward to coming to work because of the fun people and work environment that SOLTECH provides.

What is your superpower? What are you better at than anyone else?

Limbo – being 5 feet tall helps.

What would you title your autobiography?

“Fire-Ant” – this might be a little strange at first but back in High school I was a busser at a restaurant called “Fire” and I had to carry huge racks of dirty glasses to the kitchen all the time. Everyone joked that I looked like an ant because I was so small carrying such a big load. From then on out, my name was Fire-Ant. I think this also relates to my personality. I am very independent and would rather do most things myself, not because I’m too stubborn to ask for help but because it makes me proud knowing I can accomplish something that might not seem possible at first.

Name one item on your bucket list.

Go to Australia. I love the beach more than anything and it’s just a place that I have always been so interested to learn more about.

Pizza or tacos?

Easy – tacos of course. Mexican food is by far my favorite food of all time!
